Banjo's RetreatTestimonials for Banjo's Retreat

I have but lost track of how many times we have come to this beautiful setting in the bush to spend quality time with family and friends. If only people knew what you take away from such a weekend escape. We had the pleasure this time of climbing the Pyramids at the Girraween National Park. We always have the so called 'Tribal Council', outside fireplace, blazing at night from the logs we gathered, and toasting marshmallows on the stick cooking forks. The beauty of these weekends is that you can have fun with a large group of people with little expense and entertain yourselves in whatever way you please. Thanks Debbie and Mark for providing people with all the comforts of home to enjoy such magical weekend getaways.
The Woodies and family from Brisbane November 2005

Well here we are again
Driving everyone insane.
We always have a great time
Even though this time there in not nine.

Three girls proved they were strong,
Cause the log they brought back was long.
Fred had a go at tossing the caber,
He strained so hard we thought he was in labour.

Saturday night was our mystery dinner
Roger (Graham) was the sinner.
Barry was frustrated by Taboo,
The women won that game too.

We'll be back next year that is for sure,
So that the men can try to even the score.
Hope you like our little rhyme
Next year we will return with nine.
Debbie, Daryl, Sue, Graham, Barry, Jenny, Fred, Joe June 2005

A great holiday place for a large group of people and it has no lack of facilities. We loved the bonfire and billycart and wish to come back another time. Thank you!

Fantastic cottage! I couldn't think of a better place to relax over New Year. Nicole
Even better than we imagined. Lots of wine, cocktails and good times with great friends. Lovely house and land. I would highly recommend Maxi Tours with ALLAN! Dana
Thank you for providing such a beautiful place for us to spend New Year. It's such a shame to leave. Rebecca 2004 - 2005

Another great weekend at Banjos. Brilliant race day too. Shame about the power outage (Thanks Ergon Energy) but the lovely fire kept us nice and warm!

Great weekend. Very thoughtful extra touches. We won the dare (from your website - "I dare you to find something this cabin doesn't have") The kitchen needs a rolling pin!
Paul, Eloise, Rodney & Karen October 2004

To escape the rat race we found this place called Banjo's Retreat which is hard to beat. We came for the wine and found it divine - for relaxation and fun we watched the Roos run! And the fireplace is great.
The Schneiders from Brisbane and 2 friends from Glouchester UK October 2004

Colliers Industrial Team and Partners Annual Retreat
Well, there is something to be said for getting away early on a Friday for a long weekend. How quickly a couple of days can go when you're surrounded by great people, an Olympics opening ceremony, copious amounts of rd wine, a highly talented cook who whips up a storm on a BBQ and a couple of friendly games of Bocce. Thanks a lot for a most memorable weekend. It is very had to go back to civilisation after this.
Anthony August 2004

We have returned to this lovely place. It took longer to get back than we expected but still as enjoyable as the first time. Went on a 1/2 day wine trip and had a good day - played "Battle of the Sexes" and confirmed and learned that women are by far the superior sex.

Birchell family from Brisbane June 2004

We came to Banjo's to have a good time
With lots of food and plenty of wine.
We stoked the fire and rode the cart
We had plum pudding but no apple tart,
For Christmas was what we had in June.
The time to go came all too soon
We all enjoyed and had so much fun
We will all be back for more games in the sun.

We are nine who came to do time
At Banjo's Retreat we came to sleep
We drank good wine, we ate good food
And missed out because my misses wasn't in the mood,

The billycart was lots of fun
But we definitely need a steeper run
We'll be back next year
And we'll bring more beer!
Deb, Daryl, Fred, Joe Viki, Jenny, Baza, Sue & Graham June 2004

There's a track winding back
To a well appointed shack
Along the road to Amiens

Where the gum trees are growing
And much red wine is flowing
And laughter never ends

Till one more we must roam
For we sadly must go home
Along the road to Amiens

Wild Winery Weekend #1 - What a wonderful way to get away from the city for a few day. We loved Banjo's cottage. It was everything we hoped for. Highlights were the fires, decks and speakers - we gave them all a good workout. Also the lack of neighbours was much appreciated. See you next year. Thank you

The 9th annual get-to-gether of our 'winter group'- We had a ball. Most impressed with how well equipped the house is, including effective smoke alarm! Great campfire discussions, amusing games, comfortable sleeping, time to relax with good company. Isolated enough for us to feel we were really in the bush. Thank you.

What a great place, all this open space
A quiet retreat, far from rat race
If you're the best, just let us know
Have you been to Everest, in Kumbu snow?
Have you been up high, to the limit of sky?
Have you been to Everest, had the ultimate high?
We done that stuff, done it rough n done it tough
But the friendships gained are more than enough
